GOALS

✓     Studies of formation processes, present conditions, and dynamics of aquatic biological resources in the Sea of Azov, Black and Caspian seas;
✓     Development of scientific grounds for the ichthyofauna restoration technologies, conservation and restoration of commercially valuable fish species;
✓     Development of scientific grounds for sustainable nature exploitation and food security and safety under the conditions of modern methods of and approaches to economic activities in marine and coastal areas of the Sea of Azov, Black and Caspian seas.

MAIN RESEARCH TASKS

✓     Development of basic grounds for the preservation of biological resources of the southern seas of Russia and rare and endangered ichthyofauna species restoration methods;
✓     Assessment of conditions and status of biological resources and basic grounds for monitoring of ichthyofauna of the southern seas of Russia;
✓     Development of scientific grounds for the functioning of fish industry complexes in the Sea of Azov, Black and Caspian seas basins;
✓     Development of aquaculture methods to preserve and restore the resources potential of the southern seas of Russia;
✓     Development of deep freezing methods for reproductive cells of rare and endangered fish species of the southern seas of Russia and study of cryoprotectant properties of polytope antioxidants during low temperature cryopreservation of sex cells of commercially valuable fish species;
✓     Synthesis of new poly-functional organic compounds as potential protectants of acid stress and the study of their antioxidant properties applying a set of methods (in silico, in vitro, and in vivo).
