Federal Research Centre Southern Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences together with Southern Federal University, Donetsk State University, the Centre for Documentation of the Newest History of the Rostov Region with the support of the Humanitarian Fund "Caucasus - New Horizons," Regional Research Fund "Strana," Rostov Regional Search Public Organization "Mius-Front" and ANO "Center for Media Strategies" hold June 4-7, 2025 VI All-Russian Scientific Conference with international participation "The Great Patriotic War in the History and Memory of the Peoples of the South of Russia: events, participants, symbols, "dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The main areas of the conference:
· New approaches and sources in the study of the Great Patriotic War.
· Fighting on the southern flank of the Soviet-German confrontation and their role in the Victory.
· Volunteer movement and patriotic initiatives of Soviet citizens during the war years. Participation in the Great Patriotic War of residents of the south of the RSFSR and armed groups created here.
· Power and society in 1941-1945. Military economy, demographic processes, social policy, education system, religion and culture during the war years.
· Occupation regime and Nazi extermination policy in Soviet territories. Collaborationism and resistance to the enemy.
· Strategies for the survival of the Soviet man in extreme wartime conditions. Everyday life and mass consciousness during the Great Patriotic War.
· Problems of reflecting the events and participants of the Great Patriotic War in various forms of historical memory and memorial culture.
Within the framework of the conference, round tables are planned:
1) The Great Patriotic War in the space of memory of Soviet and post-Soviet societies: events, images, symbols.
2) No statute of limitations: Nazi war crimes and their investigation.
3) The Red Army and the population in defensive and offensive operations 1942-1943. in the south of Russia: events and memory.
4) The role of archives, museums and libraries in preserving the memory of the war.
To participate in scientific events, you must send an application and an article by March 5, 2025 at the e-mail address: conf.2024.ssc.ras@mail.ru. By the time of scientific events, it is planned to publish a collection of scientific articles. The application must indicate the name of the report, the full name, patronymic and surname of the author, date of birth, academic degree, title, position, place of work, contact phone number, email address, preferred form of participation, dates of arrival and departure, need for presentation equipment. The organizing committee reserves the right to select reports and messages. Speakers are provided with a multimedia projector. Please provide presentation materials in PowerPoint format.

The working language of the conference is Russian. Schedule of speeches: at the plenary meeting and round tables - up to 15 minutes; at breakout sessions - up to 10 minutes.
Rules for drafting articles:
Volume - up to 10 pages (Times New Roman, 14 pt, 1.5 interval). The initials and surname of the author are given on the right, in bold, then in capital letters - the title of the article, also highlighted in bold. Do not use hyphenation in words. Automatic footnotes are not allowed. Do not use space characters, styles, cross-references for formatting. Please note: links to sources and literature are formatted in the same way as the main text, and are included in the total number of pages of the article. It is allowed to include black and white graphs, diagrams, tables in the article text. Pictures are not used. It is allowed to literally quote the source (in quotes) if the size of one quote does not exceed 600 characters with spaces.
The list of sources and literature is arranged in alphabetical order after the text. Only one list name is listed under one number. Duplicate references are not used. Multiple cases cannot be referenced in the same reference when referencing archived materials. When referring to electronic resources, the full name of the cited work and the email address of a specific page indicating the date of contact are indicated. The specified list is numbered. The reference to the source or literature is placed in the text of the article in square brackets with the number from the list and the page or sheet: [1:100].
All submitted articles undergo scientific peer review and are checked under the Anti-Plagiarism program. If a high borrowing level is detected, the material is rejected. Manuscripts previously published in other scientific publications, issued with a gross violation of the requirements or sent later than the deadline are not accepted for consideration

Full list of requirements for the design of articles:
1. The document (file) must be created in a text editor and have the extension * .doc, * .docx or * .rtf.
2. Format - A4, font "Times New Roman," size - 14, line spacing - one and a half, text alignment – width.
3. Field width: upper - 2 cm, left - 3 cm, right - 1.5 cm, lower - 1.25 cm.
4. Paragraphs are made with 1.25 cm from the left margin.
5. Hyphenation is not used in words.
6. Volume - up to 10 pages (including scientific reference apparatus).
7. Reference to the source or literature is placed in the text of the article in square brackets indicating the number from the list of references and the page or sheet.
8. The list of sources and literature is entitled "Sources and Literature," the items are arranged in alphabetical order.

10. Tables, graphs and diagrams - strictly within the above limits of the A4 format and the volume of text. All tables, graphs, and charts must be numbered and titled.
11. Illustrations cannot be published.
12. The letter "ё" in the text is put only in cases where its replacement with "e" distorts the meaning or originality of the sound of the word.
13. At the first mention of a person, initials (I.O.) must be indicated, which are written together and separated from the surname by an inextricable space (Ctrl + Shift + Space), for example: I.I. Ivanov.

21. Between numbers, including when specifying pages in links, a short dash is placed, not a hyphen, for example: 1917-1920; S. 128-147.
22.
