SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS


The center carries out the following main activities:

  • Conducting fundamental, exploratory and applied scientific research, development and technological work in priority areas of scientific development in the following areas:
  • mechanics of natural and anthropogenic processes and phenomena, physical and mechanical processes and phenomena occurring in block structures of macro-, micro- and nanoscale scales, thermal and renewable energy sources;
  • theoretical modeling and targeted synthesis of polyfunctional compounds and polymer composites with special properties for materials of molecular electronics and photonics;
  • mechanics, physics and chemistry of photoelectric processes in multicomponent nanoheterostructures for new generation solar power plants, optoelectronics devices and energy-saving technologies;
  • multiprocessor computing and control systems, mechatronics and control processes;
  • mechanics, physics and chemistry of the surface of metals and composite materials, synthesis of materials with specified properties (adhesion, wear resistance, etc.), tribology;
  • development of theory, methods and technology for creating new active media and materials, optimization of the functional properties of active materials and nano-sized structures, plasma physics and plasma technologies;
  • creation of new high-level mathematical methods on a topological basis for the study of complex processes, media and materials;
  • interdisciplinary physical, mathematical and cultural studies of improving living conditions, activities and human safety;
  • methods of warning and forecasting of dangerous and extreme phenomena of natural and man-made nature in the South of Russia;
  • marine biology and geology, ecosystem monitoring, biological resources and aquaculture of the southern seas of Russia;
  • new intensive technologies for growing rare and endangered fish species;
  • water problems and food security problems in conditions of insufficient moisture;
  • issues of integrated environmental management in large marine ecological and economic systems, taking into account transboundary problems and conflicts;
  • geopolitical, socio-economic and environmental development problems, threats and risks in the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts;
  • humanities, history, archeology, problems of preserving cultural heritage, harmonization of interethnic relations in the South of Russia;
  • history and sociocultural characteristics of the Cossacks; little-known and understudied events of military history.
